Patrick goski - Anatomy

Ok. So I am super late...but I'm still going to try and do an image for each.
I did this a couple days ago and just never got around to posting it.
A quick modeling study of a rodent skull.

Bret Bays-Beautiful Staff Bar

This theme sucked. My drawing is essentially a tracing of an image but i was playing with brushes and colors before i got sick of it and decided to end it.

The Beautiful Staff Bar

Today's Sketch is: The Beautiful Staff Bar.

Generated in the Tavern Name Generator but do whatever you want.

Bret Bays-Speed The Porcupine

When I saw this, It reminded me of Sonic the Hedgehog. So...I went with it. Had a go with using the Opacity Setting as well.

Andy Runyon- Late Anatomy

What a good dog. Evolved an opposable thumb just to give his owner a beer.

Patrick Goski - Prostitute Swordsman

Well I officially hate sketching...mostly because it reminds me of how much I have lost.
Anyway, another one to catch up:

Bret Bays-Ninja Maid

Wasn't a sketch per se(though I sketched the idea) but I saw an image like this one that was very graphic so I wanted to do it in the same style.

For Sunday

NINJA MAID

Shaman Clerk

So I finally missed my first day. I blame it on the damn near 14 hour day for a rugby tournament. Anyway I whipped this bad boy up for the Shaman Clerk.

Moose Wrestler

Ok. So. I'm totally behind...but I did make sometime today to whip up the moose wrestler.
Yup mexican wrestling is where its at.

For Saturday-Shaman Clerk

Shaman Clerk

Have fun

Bret Bays-Anatomy

It's been a while since I busted out the Albinus On Anatomy Book. It's a great book. I just had a go at a skull in there. Fairly pleased with it but more work could be done.

Due Today!-Anatomy

Switching things up here, Today my suggestion is to draw a piece of the anatomy, be it skeleton, or muscle, etc, but draw something pertaning to the anatomy of humans or animals.

Andy Runyon-Prostitute Swordsman

A little late but I cheated.

Swordsman Prostitute

Egad this took some time. My initial idea involved far too much perspective for me to handle. Plus I couldn't draw a car. So I think you can probably figure out where that idea was going. Here's this instead.

For Thursday-Prostitute Swordsman

Have fun with this one:

Bret Bays-Moose Wrestler

Tribute to the late Great Randy Savage. RIP Macho King. This is the Moose-O King Moosey McGee dropping the Moose Knuckle on some Jabronie's ass.

Patrick Goski - Koala Herder

haha...15 min. left in the day so this still counts right.

WALRUS PUMMELER

The Theme for tomorrow is WALRUS PUMMELER

http://www.seventhsanctum.com/generate.php?Genname=wackyclass

Enjoy

Koala Herder

I tried something new. Tried to do a slightly more realistic shading approach. I kept it grayscale to prevent me from cheating and sampling colors. I just chose my grayscale sort of at random. I kind of like it.

Patrick Goski - Narwhalmentalist

Woot...finally got a sketch finished...mostly wanted to get the idea across...blargh.

Koala Herder

Theme due Monday:

Koala Herder

Have fun with this one.

Bret Bays-Narwhale Mentalist

My sketching seems to be pretty consistent. I usually draw a rough sketch in Pencil, then I take a picture of it with my phone, since I no longer have a scanner. Then I email it to myself, load it into Illustrator and I make a line drawing. It was done on some techniques I learned years ago from www.DaniDraws.com, but those tutorials do not seem to on the website anymore.

Anyway, I load it into Photoshop as a Smart Object and color. I need to try to branch out from this comic strip style and go into some other styles.

Anyway here's the evil Narwhale Mentalist:

Patrick Goski - Handyman warrior

Ok...so instead of drawing yesterday I went to this lesbian bar for Canada day...and then instead of doing anything this morning I was hungover...fell asleep on my balcony...then went up to the lake on the mountain and ate a baguette and drank beer...so I'm a little late...oops.
Anyway, I finally sat down to this one.
Here's my handy man with his fresh kills from the day.

Bret Bays-Handyman Warrior

Man, I tried to do something more comic book style...I am TERRIBLE at realism apparently. So I went back to the comic strip kind of look.

Narwhalementalist

These story generators are fascinating things. July 3rd's them is Narwhale Mentalist
Perhaps some inspiration:

If this doesn't sound like your sort of thing you can just go stick it in your eye.

Andy Runyon-Crocodile Basher

I tried to take it as literally as possible. I wanted it to have the caption "Our special little guy..." but I think it's better without it. He's a croc bashing idiot savant.

Bret Bays-Crocodile Basher

So here's my take. When I heard the theme, I thought about a couple ideas. Some sort of complicated weapon, but then I thought of the show Ax Men. There's this guy who pulls logs with his boat, just a weird guy, so I could imagine him trying to whack an croc like this. So the man is supposed to be the guy from the show, but an attempt at a John K style(failed by the way), and a homage to Calvin in Hobbes who did this same type of drawing.

Patrick Goski - Crocodile Basher!

Ok peeps,

This is my first entry...not the most robust idea, but I liked it anyway.
on to the next one!
And posting this reminds me of why I didn't like blogger as a format...crappy options for putting up photos...perhaps we should do wordpress or tumblr.

Handyman Warrior

The theme due July 2nd is:

Handyman Warrior

First Post!

Ok, well after a few minutes of discussion Bret and I have decided to do daily sketches, cause really there is no reason not to do them.
The first problem was how do we decide what to sketch?
I was all like "Ask Rick" cause that is really the best answer for everything.
In the end though we decided to go for an online story generator to keep us afloat.
I found this cool site that serves as a repository for cool random generators: http://www.seventhsanctum.com/generate.php?Genname=wackyclass

The first result and out theme for tomorrow is:

CROCODILE BASHER!

I'm some what excited. :)
Check back tomorrow for sketches!

Sketch-A-Thon

In an effort to boost creativity, and our drawing skills, we have decided to do a Sketch-A-Thon blog during at least the month of july. The idea is every day one of us goes to http://www.seventhsanctum.com/ and use one of the many generators to generate a theme for the day. We then post our results up here. Any Medium that lets you get the job done is allowed.

Post the generated theme and which generator you used just so we know.
